RASCI - Basic Workshop
Practical, hands-on cadaver-, volunteer-, and animal-based one-day intensive basic workshop in regional anesthesia
7:30 – 8:00 Registration - Cullen Conference room (6-JCP)
8:00 – 8:30 Introduction and orientation
8:30 – 10:30 Applied- and surface anatomy of supraclavicular, infraclavicular and axillary areas
Demonstration of
interscalene, cervical paravertebral, infraclavicular and axillary blocks
10:30 – 11:00 Coffee break
11:00 – 13:00 Applied- and surface anatomy of the lumbar plexus, femoral and sciatic nerves and nerves around knee and ankle
Demonstration of
lumbar paravertebral, femoral, sciatic and ankle blocks

13:30 – 15:30 Hands-on practice of all blocks on anesthetized pigs
15:30 – 16:00 Coffee break
16:00 – 17:00 Post mortem dissection of final block placed by each participant after injection of India ink via the final block placed
