The course is about how to apply operations research to problems in surgical services (i.e., anesthesia and surgery). Participants will learn how to:

·         identify when a management decision can be solved using operations research,

·         determine what solutions should be applied,

·         choose who should do the work,

·         evaluate decision-support systems and appropriate personnel decision-making,

·         monitor operational and financial performance.
